We analyze diffeomorphism invariance in inflationary spacetimes regulated by a boundary at late time. We present the action for quadratic fluctuations in the presence of a boundary, and verify that it is gauge invariant precisely when the correct local counterterms are included. The scaling behavior of bulk correlation functions at the boundary is determined by Callan-Symanzik equations which predict scaling violations in agreement with the standard inflationary predictions for spectral indices…
Holographic inflation and the conservation of ζ
• Physics

A bstractIn a holographic description of inflation, cosmological time evolution in the bulk is expected to correspond to the renomalization group (RG) flow in a dual boundary theory. Here, we analyze
Multi-field inflation from holography
• Physics

We initiate the study of multi-field inflation using holography. Bulk light scalar fields correspond to nearly marginal operators in the boundary theory and the dual quantum field theory is a
Inflationary consistency conditions from a wavefunctional perspective
A bstractIt is shown that the squeezed limit of inflationary expectation values follows from reparametrization invariance of the wavefunction of the universe. This translates into a constraint on the
Consistency relations and conservation of ζ in holographic inflation

It is well known that, in single clock inflation, the curvature perturbation $\zeta$ is constant in time on superhorizon scales. In the standard bulk description this follows quite simply from the
Holographic Renormalization in Teleparallel Gravity
We consider the problem of IR divergences of the action in the covariant formulation of teleparallel gravity in asymptotically Minkowski spacetimes. We show that divergences are caused by inertial
Holographic renormalization in teleparallel gravity

A variational principle is constructed for gravity coupled to an asymptotically linear dilaton and a p-form field strength. This requires the introduction of appropriate surface terms—also known as
On the power spectrum of inflationary cosmologies dual to a deformed CFT
A bstractWe analyse slow-roll inflationary cosmologies that are holographically dual to a three-dimensional conformal field theory deformed by a nearly marginal scalar operator. We show the
Black hole mass and Hamilton-Jacobi counterterms
• Physics
• 2004
We apply the method of holographic renormalization to computing black hole masses in asymptotically anti-de Sitter spaces. In particular, we demonstrate that the Hamilton-Jacobi approach to obtaining

We develop the relation between de Sitter holography and in∞ation in detail with particular attention to cosmic density perturbations. We set up the Hamilton-Jacobi formalism to present a systematic

We study the coupled equations describing fluctuations of scalars and the metric about background solutions of N=8 gauged supergravity which are dual to boundary field theories with renormalization

Anti-de Sitter (AdS) space can be foliated by a family of nested surfaces homeomorphic to the boundary of the space. We propose a holographic correspondence between theories living on each surface in
Inflationary perturbations from deformed CFT
We present a new method to calculate the spectrum of (slow-roll) inflationary perturbations, inspired by the conjectured dS/CFT correspondence. We show how the standard result for the spectrum of

We apply the formalism of holographic renormalization to domain wall solutions of 5-dimensional supergravity which are dual to deformed conformal field theories in 4 dimensions. We carefully compute

We propose a direct correspondence between the classical evolution equations of $5-d$ supergravity and the renormalization group (RG) equations of the dual $4-d$ large $N$ gauge theory. Using
Inflation and the dS/CFT Correspondence
It is speculated that the observed universe has a dual representation as renormalization group flow between two conformal fixed points of a three-dimensional euclidean field theory. The infrared
New twist on the dS/CFT correspondence

We stress that the dS/CFT correspondence should be formulated using unitary principal series representations of the de Sitter isometry group or conformal group, rather than highest-weight
