We provide a framework for calculating holographic Green’s functions from general bilinear actions and fields obeying coupled differential equations in the bulk. The matrix-valued spectral function is shown to be independent of the radial bulk coordinate, and hence, free from renormalization ambiguities. Applying this framework we improve the analysis of fluctuations in the D3/D7 system at finite baryon density, where the longitudinal perturbations of the world-volume gauge field couple to the…

Abstract We investigate the effect of external magnetic fields on equilibration in the improved holographic QCD theory in the deconfined phase using the AdS/CFT correspondence. In particular we
Universal properties of cold holographic matter
We study the collective excitations of holographic quantum liquids formed in the low energy theory living at the intersection of two sets of D-branes. The corresponding field theory dual is a
Fluctuations in finite density holographic quantum liquids
A bstractWe study correlators of the global U(1) currents in holographic models which involve $ \mathcal{N}=4 $ SYM coupled to the finite density matter in the probe brane sector. We find the

Spectral function and quark diffusion constant in non-critical holographic QCD
Motivated by recent studies of intersecting D-brane systems in critical string theory and phenomenological AdS/QCD models, we present a detailed analysis for the vector and scalar fluctuations in a
Holographic gravitational anomaly and chiral vortical effect
We analyze a holographic model with a pure gauge and a mixed gauge-gravitational Chern-Simons term in the action. These are the holographic implementations of the usual chiral and the mixed
Holography, black holes and condensed matter physics
In this thesis we employ holographic techniques to explore strongly-coupled quantum field theories at non-zero temperature and density. First we consider a state dual to a charged black hole with
Momentum relaxation in holographic massive gravity
We study the effects of momentum relaxation on observables in a recently proposed holographic model in which the conservation of momentum in the field theory is broken by the presence of a bulk

Gravitational quasinormal modes of AdS black branes in d spacetime dimensions
The AdS/CFT duality has established a mapping between quantities in the bulk AdS black-hole physics and observables in a boundary finite-temperature field theory. Such a relationship appears to be
