We consider a relative of semidirect gauge mediation where the hidden sector exists at large 't Hooft coupling. Such scenarios can be difficult to describe using perturbative field theory methods but may fall into the class of holographic gauge mediation scenarios, meaning that they are amenable to the techniques of gauge/gravity duality. We use a recently found gravity solution to examine one such case, where the hidden sector is a cascading gauge theory resulting in a confinement scale not…

Hidden-sector current-current correlators in holographic gauge mediation

We discuss gauge mediation in the case where the hidden sector is strongly coupled but, via the gauge-gravity correspondence, admits a weakly-coupled description in terms of a warped

Holographic realization of gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking

A bstractThe general gauge mediation scenario provides a framework in which properties of a visible sector with soft supersymmetry breaking are computed from current correlation functions in the

Warped general gauge mediation

We develop the formalism of "general gauge mediation" for five-dimensional theories in a slice of AdS space. A set of current correlators encodes the effect of a supersymmetry breaking hidden sector

Holographic correlators for general gauge mediation

A bstractWe use holographic techniques to compute two-point functions of operators belonging to a conserved current supermultiplet in theories which break supersymmetry at strong coupling. These are

Cascades with adjoint matter: adjoint transitions

A large class of duality cascades based on quivers arising from non-isolated singularities enjoy adjoint transitions-a phenomenon which occurs when the gauge coupling of a node possessing adjoint

Holography for general gauge mediation

A bstractWe construct a holographic model of spontaneous supersymmetry breaking in analogy to AdS/QCD models. Integrating out the bulk theory one obtains an entirely four dimensional effective action

General gauge mediation in five dimensions

We use the ''general gauge mediation'' (GGM) formalism to describe a five-dimensional setup with an S{sup 1}/Z{sub 2} orbifold. We first consider a model independent supersymmetry breaking hidden

DESY 12-171 Holography for General Gauge Mediation

We construct a holographic model of spontaneous supersymmetry breaking in analogy to AdS/QCD models. Integrating out the bulk theory one obtains an entirely four dimensional effective action that

J ul 2 01 0 General Gauge Mediation in 5 D

We use the “General Gauge Mediation” formalism to describe a 5D setup with an S/Z2 orbifold. We first consider a model independent SUSY breaking hidden sector on one boundary and generic chiral

Holographic gauge mediation

We discuss gravitational backgrounds where supersymmetry is broken at the end of a warped throat, and the SUSY-breaking is transmitted to the Standard Model via gauginos which live in (part of) the

Studying Gaugino Mass in Semi-Direct Gauge Mediation

We study gaugino mass generation in the context of semi-direct gauge mediation models, where the messengers are charged under both the hidden sector and the standard model gauge groups while they do

Gaugino mediated supersymmetry breaking

We consider supersymmetric theories where the standard-model quark and lepton fields are localized on a `3-brane' in extra dimensions, while the gauge and Higgs fields propagate in the bulk. If

The String dual of a confining four-dimensional gauge theory

We study N=1 gauge theories obtained by adding finite mass terms to N=4 Yang-Mills theory. The Maldacena dual is nonsingular: in each of the many vacua, there is an extended brane source, arising

A Model of Direct Gauge Mediation of Supersymmetry Breaking

We present the first phenomenologically viable model of gauge meditation of supersymmetry breaking without a messenger sector or gauge singlet fields. The standard model gauge groups couple directly

New models of gauge and gravity mediated supersymmetry breaking

We show that supersymmetry breaking in a class of theories with SU(N){times}SU(N{minus}2) gauge symmetry can be studied in a calculable {sigma} model. We use the {sigma} model to show that the

Semi-direct gauge mediation

We describe a framework for gauge mediation of supersymmetry breaking in which the messengers are charged under the hidden sector gauge group but do not play a role in breaking supersymmetry. From

Gravity dual of metastable dynamical supersymmetry breaking

Metastable, supersymmetry-breaking configurations can be created in flux geometries by placing antibranes in warped throats. Via gauge/gravity duality, such configurations should have an
