We present a new version of holographic cosmology, which is compatible with present observations. A primordial p = ρ phase of the universe is followed by a brief matter dominated era and a brief period of inflation, whose termination heats the universe. The flatness and horizon problems are solved by the p = ρ dynamics. The model is characterized by two parameters, which should be calculated in a more fundamental approach to the theory. For a large range in the phenomenologically allowed… Expand

The Holographic Space-Time Model of Cosmology.
This essay outlines the Holographic Space-time (HST) theory of cosmology and its relation to conventional theories of inflation. The predictions of the theory are compatible with observations, andExpand
Holographic Inflation Revised
This paper is a major revision of our previous work on the HST model of inflation. We identify the local fluctuations of the metric with fluctuations of the mass and angular momentum of black holes,Expand
Fischler Susskind holographic cosmology revisited
When Fischler and Susskind proposed a holographic prescription based on the particle horizon, they found that spatially closed cosmological models do not verify it due to the apparently unavoidableExpand
A stringy correspondence principle in cosmology
We study a d-dimensional FRW universe, containing a perfect fluid with p=wρ and 1d−1⩽w⩽1, and find a correspondence principle similar to that of Horowitz and Polchinski in the black hole case. ThisExpand
Saturation of the Holographic Principle for Spatially Closed Cosmological Models
Under the assumption on the fundamental character of the Holographic Principle as a primary principle guiding the behavior of our universe the saturation of the holographic limit is reasonable. OnExpand
The Holographic Space-time Model of Cosmology Essay Written for the Gravitation Research Foundation 2018 Awards for Essays on Gravitation February 20, 2018
This essay outlines the Holographic Space-time (HST) theory of cosmology and its relation to conventional theories of inflation. The predictions of the theory are compatible with observations, andExpand
Holographic space-time and its phenomenological implications
I briefly review the theory of holographic space–time and its relation to the cosmological constant problem, and the breaking of supersymmetry (SUSY). When combined with some simple phenomenologicalExpand
Holographic Space-Time Does Not Predict Firewalls
We use the formalism of Holographic Space-time (HST) to investigate the claim of [1] that old black holes contain a firewall, i.e. an in-falling observer encounters highly excited states at a timeExpand
Holographic space-time from the Big Bang to the de Sitter era
I review the holographic theory of space-time and its applications to cosmology. Much of this has appeared before, but this discussion is more unified and concise. I also include some material onExpand
Fractal Holography: a geometric re-interpretation of cosmological large scale structure
The fractal dimension of large scale galaxy clustering has been reported to be roughly DF~2 from a wide range of redshift surveys. If correct, this statistic is of interest for two main reasons:Expand

LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Cosmic holography+Cosmic holography
A new version of holographic principle for cosmology is proposed, which dictates that particle entropy within `cosmological apparent horizon' should not exceed gravitational entropy associated withExpand
Remarks on M Theoretic Cosmology
I present cosmological arguments which point towards a Horava-Witten like picture of the universe, with the unification scale of order the fundamental gravitational scale. The SUSY breaking scale isExpand
M theory observables for cosmological space-times
We discuss the construction of the analog of an S-matrix for space-times that begin with a Big-Bang and asymptote to an FRW universe with nonnegative cosmological constant. When the cosmologicalExpand
Holography in general space-times
We provide a background-independent formulation of the holographic principle. It permits the construction of embedded hypersurfaces (screens) on which the entire bulk information can be stored at aExpand
Probing a QCD string axion with precision cosmological measurements
String and M-theory compactifications generically have compact moduli which can potentially act as the QCD axion. However, as demonstrated here, such a compact modulus can not play the role of a QCDExpand
Strong coupling expansion of Calabi-Yau compactification
Abstract In a certain strong coupling limit, compactification of the E8 × E8 heterotic string on a Calabi-Yau manifold X can be described by an eleven-dimensional theory compactified on X × S 1 / Z 2Expand
A NEW MECHANISM FOR BARYOGENESIS
Abstract A new mechanism for baryogenesis is proposed. It is argued that, after inflation, the scalar quarks and leptons of a supersymmetric GUT may have large expectation values. The subsequentExpand
Heterotic and type I string dynamics from eleven-dimensions
Abstract We propose that the ten-dimensional E 8 × E 8 heterotic string is related to an eleven-dimensional theory on the orbifold R 10 × S 1 / Z 2 in the same way that the Type IIA string in tenExpand
