The aim of my study is to compare the histopathological changes of placenta in preeclampsia with that of normal placenta and to analyze placental changes in the pregnancy induced hypertension. These changes serve as a guide to the duration and severity of disease.The material consisted of fifty term placenta collected from the labour room and operation theatre of the department of obstetrics and gynaecology, V.S.S.
