Macrognathus aculeatus (Bl.) and Mastacembelus pancalus (Lac.) (Family: Mastacembelidae) are considered to be the most delicious fish in Andhra Pradesh due to the tenderness of their muscles. The metacercariae of Clinostomum mastacembeli Jaiswal, 1957 are found infesting the oesophagus of these fishes heavily. During present studies, histopathological changes caused due to the encystment of metacercariae of C. mastacembeli in the oesophagus of these fishes were observed. The four layers of the…
HISTOPATHOLOGY AND OTHER ASPECTS OF THE CLINOSTOMUM COMPLANATUM INFECTION IN THE FRESHWATER FISH, PSEUDOSPHROMENUS CUPANUS FROM THE SOUTH WESTERN GHATS
TLDR
The histopathology of operculum and head muscles showed heavy necrosis and fibrosis of tissues and infiltration of immune cells at the site of infection and the parasite is probably pathogenic to the host and the fish bears heavy burden of the parasites.

ON THE DISTRIBUTION AND MODE OF OCCURRENCE IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA OF CLINOSTOMUM MARGINATUM, A TREMATODE PARASITIC IN FISH, FROGS AND BIRDS
TLDR

Excystment phenomena in clonorchis sinensis.
TLDR
Studies have shown that practically any fresh-water fish which is exposed to the infection may serve as the host of the encapsulated larvae of Clonorchis sinensis, and the process is comparable to the encystment of trichina larvæ that have migrated into the striped muscles of mammals.
