Diagnosis and plastic reconstruction of a hydro- or megalo-ureter do not solve the main problem of our therapeutic efforts, the conservation of the kindney, at all. An irreversibly damaged ureter with no function cannot transport the urine even after surgical correction. Therefore this leads to the progression of urinary retention and to the loss of the kindney.
