The highly polysialylated neural cell adhesion molecule (PSA-NCAM) is one of the most promising molecules that contributes to plasticity in the central nervous system. We evaluated PSA-NCAM immunoreactivity in the hippocampal formation of Alzheimer's disease (AD) patients.
