OBJECTIVE To develop a semiquantitative MRI-based scoring system (HOAMS) of hip osteoarthritis (OA) and test its reliability and validity. DESIGN Fifty-two patients with chronic hip pain were included. 1.5T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) was performed on all patients.
