Investigating many-body localization (MBL) using exact numerical methods is limited by the exponential growth of the Hilbert space. However, localized eigenstates display multifractality and only extend over a vanishing fraction of the Hilbert space. Here, building on this remarkable property, we develop a simple yet efficient decimation scheme to discard the irrelevant parts of the Hilbert space of the random-field Heisenberg chain. This leads to an Hilbert space fragmentation in small…

Fock-space landscapes across the many-body localisation transition
We explore the Fock-space landscape of eigenstates across the many-body localisation (MBL) transition in a disordered, interacting quantum spin-1/2 chain. Eigenstate expectation values of spatially
Statistics of correlations across the many-body localization transition
Ergodic quantum many-body systems satisfy the eigenstate thermalization hypothesis (ETH). However, strong disorder can destroy ergodicity through many-body localization (MBL) – at least in one
Fock-space correlations and the origins of many-body localization
We consider the problem of many-body localisation on Fock space, focussing on the essential features of the Hamiltonian which stabilise a localised phase. Any many-body Hamiltonian has a canonical
Chaos in the Bose–Hubbard model and random two-body Hamiltonians
We investigate the chaotic phase of the Bose–Hubbard model (Pausch et al 2021 Phys. Rev. Lett. 126 150601) in relation to the bosonic embedded random matrix ensemble, which mirrors the dominant
Non-Hermitian Skin Custers from Strong Interactions
Strong, non-perturbative interactions often lead to new exciting physics, as epitomized by emergent anyons from the Fractional Quantum hall effect. Within the actively investigated domain of
Dephasing in strongly disordered interacting quantum wires
Many-body localization is a fascinating theoretical concept describing the intricate interplay of quantum interference, i.e., localization, with many-body interaction-induced dephasing. Numerous
[0pt]Universal Translationally-Invariant Hamiltonians [1cm]
In this work we extend the notion of universal quantum Hamiltonians to the setting of translationally-invariant systems. We present a construction that allows a twodimensional spin lattice with
Universal Translationally-Invariant Hamiltonians
In this work we extend the notion of universal quantum Hamiltonians to the setting of translationally-invariant systems. We present a construction that allows a two-dimensional spin lattice with
Localization enhanced dissipation in the generalized Aubry-Andr\'{e}-Harper model coupled to Ohmic baths
In this work, the exact dynamics of excitation in the generalized Aubry-André-Harper model coupled with an Ohmic-type environment is discussed by evaluating the survival probability and inverse
What Social Policy Is Better: Lockdowns or Borders Closings During SARS-CoV-2 Pandemic?
TLDR
It is claimed that the human network clustering obtained by self-isolation better prevents the spread of the epidemic than the instant separation of the network into the clusters.
