Abstract Beams of latex particles with diameters of 0.126, 0.365, and 1.305 μ were generated by continuously expanding an aerosol through a nozzle into an evacuated chamber and extracting the core of the jet with a skimmer. A convergent nozzle with a throat diameter of 157 μ and capillaries of different lengths but the same inner diameter were used.
