High serum gastrin levels in thyrotoxic patients.

Abstract

High gastrin levels were found in twenty-one out of fifty-six consecutive patients (38%) with thyrotoxicosis. Following return to euthyroidism gastrin levels generally fell, but twelve patients (21%) remained hypergastrinaemic.
