Large-scale relativistic calculations are performed for the transition energy and line strength of the $ 1s^{2} 2s 2p$ $^1P_{1} \,-\ 1s^{2} 2s^{2}$ $^1S_{0} $ transition in Be-like carbon. Based on the multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock~(MCDHF) approach, different correlation models are developed to account for all major electron-electron correlation contributions. These correlation models are tested with various sets of the initial and the final state wave functions. The uncertainty of the…

Relativistic Many-Body Calculations of Transition Probabilities for the 2l12l2[LSJ]-2l32l4[L'S'J'] Lines in Be-like Ions
Reduced matrix elements, oscillator strengths, and transition rates are calculated for all allowed and forbidden 2s–2p electric dipole transitions in berylliumlike ions with nuclear charges ranging
Large-scale relativistic configuration-interaction calculation of the 2s{sup 2} {sup 1}S{sub 0}--2s2p {sup 3}P{sub 1} intercombination transition in C III
A large-scale, relativistic configuration-interaction (RCI) method has been developed for precision calculations of transition oscillator strengths. It is based on the no-pair Hamiltonian and employs
Towards accurate transition data for 3p2, 3p3, 3p4 levels of Fe, Co and Ni ions
Variational results of high accuracy are presented for electric quadrupole and magnetic dipole transitions between levels of the configurations 3pm, m = 2, 3, 4 for the ionized elements of Fe, Co and

Calculated MCDF calculations of the lifetimes of the spin-forbidden ions and the importance of the inclusion of the Breit interaction to obtain accurate fine-structure splittings and mixing coefficients is discussed and the noted discrepancy between the length and velocity gauges for the intercombination line in the lighter ions is addressed.
Negative-energy contributions to transition amplitudes in heliumlike ions
We derive the leading term in an aZ expansion for the negative-energy ~virtual electron-positron pair! contributions to the transition amplitudes of heliumlike ions. The resulting expressions allow
Radiative corrections to one-photon decays of hydrogenic ions (10 pages)
Radiative corrections to the decay rate of n = 2 states of hydrogenic ions are calculated. The transitions considered are the M1 decay of the 2s state to the ground state and the E1(M2) decays of the
Allowed transitions and intercombination lines in C III and C II
Systematic multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock results in the Breit-Pauli approximation are reported for the 2s2 1S0 → 2s2p 3P1 intercombination line in C III and the 2s22p2P-2s2p3 4P multiplet in C II.
Accurate transition probabilities in ions obtained by isoelectronic smoothing of line strengths.
By applying a method of isoelectronic smoothing of line strengths, similar to those earlier used for excitation energies and transition wavelengths, the experimental uncertainties are reduced by about a factor of 2, to 1.9-3.6 % for these transitions.
Ab initio calculations of the hyperfine structure of zinc and evaluation of the nuclear quadrupole moment Q(Zn67)
The relativistic multiconfiguration Dirac-Hartree-Fock and the nonrelativistic multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock methods have been employed to calculate the magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole
