B.variegata Linn. (Caesalpiniaceae) is a medium sized deciduous tree found in the Sub-Himalayan tract and Outer Himalayas of the Punjab, Kumaon, Sikkim ,India, Burma, China[1]. The bark is used for the treatment of leucoderma, leprosy, asthma.
