Iopiperidol is a non ionic iodinated compound currently under evaluation as a potential contrast medium with anticoagulant property for radiological examinations. An HPLC method for assaying iopiperidol in plasma and urine of rats and humans is described. The analysis is based on the reversed-phase chromatographic separation of iopiperidol and the internal standard (iopamidol) from the endogenous components of the biological fluids, and their detection by UV absorption at 244 nm. The…
Rapid determination of X-ray contrast agent iomeprol in human plasma by on-line solid-phase extraction coupled with phase optimized liquid chromatography.
TLDR
A simple and rapid method using POPLC coupled with on-line solid-phase extraction (SPE) for the analysis of X-ray contrast media agent iomeprol (IOM) in human plasma was developed and is expected to be useful in theAnalysis of human plasma samples for glomerular filtration rate (GFR) measurements and assessment of kidney function.
Chemistry of X-Ray Contrast Agents
Iodinated contrast agents are widely used in X-ray diagnostic procedures such as angiography, urography and computed tomography. In this chapter, the synthesis and analytics of iodinated X-ray
Concentrations of moxifloxacin in plasma and urine, and penetration into prostatic fluid and ejaculate, following single oral administration of 400 mg to healthy volunteers.
TLDR
Moxifloxacin might be a good alternative for the treatment of CBP, but further studies are warranted to establish this indication.
Comparative Study Between Gadobenate Dimeglumine and Gadobutrol in Rats with Brain Ischemia: Evaluation of Somatosensory Evoked Potentials
TLDR
The evaluation of SEPs in ischemic rats is a useful tool for assessing the potential neurological effects of a new contrast agent because isChemic and contrast agent effects can be clearly differentiated and the experimental conditions used allow the contrast agents to penetrate into the brain, where their activity can be manifested and evaluated.
Revealing Atropisomer Axial Chirality in Drug Discovery
TLDR
A strategy to reveal and classify compounds that have atropisomeric chirality is introduced and decisions can be made during early discovery stages such as “hit‐to‐lead” and “lead optimization,” to foresee and validate the presence ofAtropisomers and to exercise options of removing, further stabilizing, or rendering the chiral axis of interest more freely rotatable via SAR design, thereby decreasing this potential liability within a compound series.
Assessing atropisomer axial chirality in drug discovery and development.
TLDR
Assessing Atropisomer Axial Chirality in Drug Discovery and Development Steven R. F. Fandrick, Oliver Hucke, Ray Kemper, Stephen P. Miller, and Paul J. Edwards assess the importance of chiral consistency in drug discovery and development.

Determination of iodine and bromine in plasma and urine by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry.
TLDR
The simultaneous determination of iodine and bromine in plasma and urine by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, using a Nermag prototype instrument, is described, and results are in agreement with reported values.
Plasma Levels and Urinary Excretion of Iodine After Oral Administration of Iohexol in Dogs and Cats
TLDR
Results indicate that approximately 2% of the oral dose of iohexol is absorbed and excreted in the urine of dogs within 6 hours, and approximately 4% in cats.
Rapid radiochemical neutron activation analysis for iodine in urine by different separation techniques.
TLDR
The practical advantages of the iodinated-resin technique make it most suitable for the rapid routine determination of iodine in urine, and was further verified by participation in an international intercomparison run of urine analysis.
Intracavity laser spectroscopic method for determining trace amounts of iodine and barium in water and biological samples
An intracavity laser spectroscopic method and the necessary instrumentation are described for the direct determination of trace amounts of iodine in water and in biological media. Minimal sample
