Abstract
We developed a novel Bi<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>-B<inf>2</inf>O<inf>3</inf>-TeO<inf>2</inf> glass system. This glass shows excellent high transmittance even near the absorption edge ∼400 nm, nevertheless its high refractive index and high optical nonlinearity.
