Accurate localization of epileptogenic brain is critical for successful epilepsy surgery. Recent research using wide bandwidth intracranial EEG has demonstrated that interictal high-frequency oscillations are preferentially localized to the brain region generating spontaneous seizures, and are a potential biomarker of epileptogenic brain.
