PURPOSE A prospective phase II trial was carried out to test the feasibility and effectiveness of a combined interstitial with external beam radiotherapy approach for localized prostate cancer. MATERIALS AND METHODS Between October 1992 and December 1994, 82 evaluable patients were treated.
