High average power super-continuum generation using a 1-μm ASE noise source

We propose and demonstrate super-continuum generation from 1-mum ASE noise source instead of ultra-short pulses for the first time. With the amplified noise burst, super-continuum is generated over 500 nm with 23 dBm average power.
