Abstract Higgs bosons which decay principally to top quarks, such as in the minimal supersymmetric model, produce a peak-dip structure in the gg→t t invariant-mass spectrum. This structure is potentially observable at the CERN Large Hadron Collider.

Top-quark physics at the LHC
The physics perspectives of the production and decay of single top quarks and top-quark pairs at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) are reviewed from a phenomenological point of view.
Search for Standard Model Production of Four Top Quarks.
This talk describes efforts towards a first measurement of the standard model production of four top quarks with results based on up to the full LHC Run 2 dataset collected at CMS at
The Anatomy of electro-weak symmetry breaking. I: The Higgs boson in the standard model
Abstract This review is devoted to the study of the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking and this first part focuses on the Higgs particle of the Standard Model. The fundamental properties of
Production of heavy Higgs bosons and decay into top quarks at the LHC
We investigate the production of heavy, neutral Higgs boson resonances and their decays to top-quark top-antiquark (t t ) pairs at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at next-to-leading order (NLO) in
Top quark physics at the Tevatron using t t ¯ events
We review the field of top-quark physics with an emphasis on experimental techniques. The role of the top quark in the Standard Model of particle physics is summarized and the basic phenomenology of
Higgs bosons in ttbar production
The top quark has a large Yukawa coupling with the Higgs boson. In the usual extensions of the standard model the Higgs sector includes extra scalars, which also tend to couple strongly with the top
Heavy Higgs bosons at low tan β: from the LHC to 100 TeV
A bstractWe present strategies to search for heavy neutral Higgs bosons decaying to top quark pairs, as often occurs at low tan β in type II two Higgs doublet models such as the Higgs sector of the
Higgs bosons at the LHC
The investigation of the dynamics responsible for electroweak symmetry breaking is one of the prime tasks of the experiments at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In this article, the potential of
Heavy Higgs searches: flavour matters
A bstractWe point out that the stringent lower bounds on the masses of additional electrically neutral and charged Higgs bosons crucially depend on the flavour structure of their Yukawa interactions.
Scenarios of Higgs bosons and Z' manifestations in the minimal gauge extension of the SM
Two-gluon production of t ¯ tZ states at the LHC is analyzed with an account of intermediate Z’ boson and two Higgs scalars. It is shown that interference effects in the distributions on the

Higgs production and decay into heavy flavours with the gluon fusion mechanism
Abstract We consider the reaction gg → H → Q Q and find that there are interference effects with the pure QCD process gg → Q Q . These effects as well as the large QCD background make it unlikely
Higgs Bosons from Two-Gluon Annihilation in Proton-Proton Collisions
We estimate the cross section for Higgs–boson production in proton–proton collisions. We find that most of the cross section comes from a two–gluon annihilation process, in which the gluons couple to
Final-state interaction of longitudinal vector bosons.
Abstract In the standard Higgs model of electroweak symmetry breaking, the Higgs boson is associated with both vector-boson and fermion mass generation. In contrast, we discuss a two-Higgs-doublet
Hadronic charm production by gluon fusion
Rates for production of charmed particles in hadronic collisions are calculated in the gluon-fusion model. Aspects studied include the following: a comparison of the results obtained for different
The Higgs Hunter's Guide
The Higgs Hunter's Guide is a definitive and comprehensive guide to the physics of Higgs bosons. In particular, it discusses the extended Higgs sectors required by those recent theoretical approaches
The Fermion Mass Scale and Possible Effects of Higgs Bosons on Experimental Observables
We consider a conventional SU(2) @ U(1) gauge theory with two (or more) Higgs doublets, but with the fermion mass scale dctcrmined by the vacuum expectation values of the Higgs particles rather than
Top-quark search in multijet signals.
It is shown that from a theoretical viewpoint the top quark is easily recovered from this [ital W]+4 jet cross section and the only limitation comes from the experimental ability to correctly reconstruct the invariant masses which might contain multiple jets.
Explicit formulae for heavy flavour production
Abstract Explicit formulae are given in QCD for the processes which contribute to the hadroproduction of heavy quarks Q. The processes considered are 1. (1) q + q → Q + Q , 2. (2) g + g → Q + Q , 3.
Associated production of heavy flavour states in pp and p̄p interactions: Some QCD estimates
Abstract A perturbative, non-scaling, QCD approach is used to calculate production cross sections for ‘naked’ heavy flavour states in pp and p p collisions. The basic subprocesses considered, using

By measuring the two components of the signal it will be possible to probe for different origins of the {ital W}-boson and {ital t}-quark masses.
