Mesoporous bioactive glass nanofibers (MBGNFs) were prepared by a sol-gel/electrospinning technique. Subsequently, a collagen-MBGNF (CM) composite scaffold that simultaneously possessed a macroporous structure and collagen nanofibers was fabricated by a gelation and freeze-drying process.
