Abstract We present a formulation of heterotic Double Field Theory (DFT), where the fundamental fields are in O(D, D) representations. The theory is obtained splitting an O(D, D + K ) duality invariant DFT. This procedure produces a Green-Schwarz mechanism for the generalized metric, and a fundamental gauge field which transforms as a gauge connection only to leading order. After parametrization, the former induces a non-covariant transformation on the metric tensor, which can be removed…

Scattering Amplitudes and The Cotton Double Copy

We construct classical curvature spinors in topologically massive gauge theory and topologically massive gravity, expressed in terms of massive three-particle amplitudes. We show that when the

Higher-derivative heterotic Double Field Theory and classical double copy

Abstract The generalized Kerr-Schild ansatz (GKSA) is a powerful tool for constructing exact solutions in Double Field Theory (DFT). In this paper we focus in the heterotic formulation of DFT,

A bstractThe Kerr-Schild (KS) formalism is a powerful tool for constructing exact solutions in general relativity. In this paper, we present a generalization of the conventional KS formalism to

Double field theory formulation of heterotic strings

We extend the recently constructed double field theory formulation of the low-energy theory of the closed bosonic string to the heterotic string. The action can be written in terms of a generalized

Gauged double field theory as an L∞ algebra

Abstract L∞ algebras describe the underlying algebraic structure of many consistent classical field theories. In this work we analyze the algebraic structure of Gauged Double Field Theory in the

Heterotic effective action and duality symmetries revisited

A bstractThe dimensional reduction of heterotic supergravity with gauge fields truncated to the Cartan subalgebra exhibits a continuous O(d, d + 16; ℝ) global symmetry, related to the O(d, d + 16; ℤ)

Exploring double field theory

A bstractWe consider a flux formulation of Double Field Theory in which fluxes are dynamical and field-dependent. Gauge consistency imposes a set of quadratic constraints on the dynamical fluxes,

Double field formulation of Yang-Mills theory

The classical double copy for half-maximal supergravities and T-duality

Abstract We study the classical double copy for ungauged half-maximal supergravities using the Kaluza-Klein reduction of double field theory (DFT). We construct a general formula for the

The spacetime of double field theory: Review, remarks, and outlook

We review double field theory (DFT) with emphasis on the doubled spacetime and its generalized coordinate transformations, which unify diffeomorphisms and b‐field gauge transformations. We illustrate
