The administration of 3'-hydroxyacetanilide, a regioisomer of acetaminophen, to mice failed to produce hepatotoxicity even after the administration of diethyl maleate. In contrast, hepatotoxicity did occur when 3'-hydroxyacetanilide was administered to buthionine sulfoximine pretreated mice.
