Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) has an increasing incidence worldwide, and it is the leading cause of death in patients with cirrhosis. The criteria for the diagnosis of Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) have been defined at the Barcelona2000 EASL (European Association fof the Study of the Liver) conference1.
