Abstract The case of a 37 year old woman with hemorrhagic dissection occurring in the media of the left anterior descending coronary artery is described. A massive anteroseptal infarction caused a fairly rapid death. Changes of cystic medial necrosis were found in the right main coronary artery. All the coronary vessels were remarkably free from atherosclerosis.
