The ability of hemoglobin (Hb) to penetrate the basilar arterial wallin vivo after experimental subarachnoid hemorrhage was examined using immunohistochemistry. The distribution of anti-Hb antibodies in rabbit basilar artery was studied following the injection of autologous blood in the cisterna magna.
