We take into account the 1/[ital m][sub [ital Q]] corrections up to 1/[ital N][sub [ital c]] order in the heavy-meson-soliton bound state approach for heavy baryons. With these corrections, the mass spectra of baryons with [ital c] quarks as well as of those with [ital b] quarks are well reproduced. For charmed baryons, however, the correction to the mass spectra amounts to about 300 MeV, which is not small compared to the leading order binding energy, [similar to]800 MeV.

Hyperfine splitting of low-lying heavy baryons
Abstract We calculate the next-to-leading order contribution to the masses of the heavy baryons in the bound-state approach for baryons containing a heavy quark. These 1 N C corrections arise whenExpand
Hidden structure in a Lagrangian for hyperfine splitting of the heavy baryons
Abstract We investigate the hyperfine splitting of the heavy baryons in the bound-state approach. We start with an ordinary relativistic Lagrangian which has been extensively used to discuss finiteExpand
Magnetic moments of baryons with a single heavy quark
Abstract We calculate the magnetic moments of heavy baryons with a single heavy quark in the bound-state approach. In this approach the heavy baryons is considered as a heavy meson bound in the fieldExpand
Heavy baryons with strangeness in a soliton model
We present some recent results from soliton model calculations for the spectrum of baryons with a single heavy quark. The model comprises chiral symmetry for light flavors and (approximate) heavyExpand
Heavy-quark solitons: towards realistic masses
Abstract A generalization of the effective meson lagrangian possessing the heavy-quark symmetry to finite meson masses is employed to study the meson mass dependence of the spectrum of S-and P-waveExpand
Pentaquark Θ+(1540)Θ+(1540) production in γN→KK¯N reactions
Recent developments in the search of exotic pentaquark hadrons are briefly reviewed. We then focus on investigating how the exotic pentaquark Θ(1540)Θ(1540) baryon production can be identified in theExpand

Heavy-Quark Symmetry and Skyrmions
We review recent development on combining heavy-quark symmetry and chiral symmetry in the skyrmion structure of the baryons containing one or more heavy quarks, c (charmed) and b (bottom). WeExpand
