We propose a new reaction mechanism for the study of strange and charmed baryon productions. In this mechanism we consider the correlation of two quarks in baryons, so it can be called the two-quark process. As in the previously studied one-quark process, we find large production rates for charmed baryons in comparison with strange baryons. Moreover, the new mechanism causes the excitation of both the $\rho$ mode and the $\lambda$ mode. Using the wave functions for baryons from a quark model…

Pion Induced Productions for the Study of Heavy Baryons
We study heavy baryon productions, $\pi + p \rightarrow D^{*-} (\text {or }K^{*0}) + Y$, where Y is a charmed (or strange) baryon of the ground or excited states. We propose a new production

Spectrum of heavy baryons in the quark model
Single- and double- heavy baryons are studied in the constituent quark model. The model Hamiltonian is chosen as a standard one with two exceptions : (1) The color-Coulomb term depend on quark
Heavy mesons in a random instanton gas
Abstract We analyze the correlation function of a meson with one heavy and one light quark in inverse powers of the heavy quark mass m Q using a succession of Foldy-Wouthuysen-type transformations
A Schematic Model of Baryons and Mesons
If we assume that the strong interactions of baryons and mesons are correctly described in terms of the broken "eightfold way", we are tempted to look for some fundamental explanation of the
Charmed Baryons in a Quark Model with Hyperfine Interactions
We employ a quark model based on quantum chromodynamics and tested against noncharmed baryons to predict masses and decay rates of ground-state and excited baryons containing one charmed quark. Among
Spin-orbit force of instanton-induced interaction in strange and charmed systems
Abstract Effects of the spin orbit-force on hadronic systems with strangeness or charm are investigated by a valence quark model with the instanton-induced interaction. By introducing this
A new mechanism of spontaneous chiral symmetry breaking in the instanton vacuum of QCD is proposed. It is based on the delocalization of zero fermionic modes in the pseudoparticles' medium. This

The model including the spin-orbit and the tensor terms of the instanton-induced interaction as well as the one-gluon exchange is found to reproduce successfully the excited baryon mass spectrum and the scattering phase shifts of two nucleons in thespin-triplet relative {ital P}-wave state.
Bound-state approach to strangeness in the Skyrme model
Abstract We show that baryons carrying heavy flavors, such as strangeness and charm, can be described by bound states of the corresponding heavy mesons in the background field of the basic SU(2)
Kaon-Nucleon scattering states and potentials in the Skyrme model
We study the (anti)kaon nucleon interaction in the Skyrme model. The kaon field is introduced as a fluctuation around the rotating Skyrmion for the nucleon. As an extension of our previous work, we
Heavy hadrons and QCD instantons.
The instanton-induced interactions between heavy and light-quarks at next to leading order in the heavy quark mass and in the planar approximation are derived and their effects on the hadronic spectrum are discussed.
