Cryptorchidism is commonly used for research on spermatogenesis. However, there are few comparative investigations about the strain differences in mice, especially in long-term experiments. In the present study, the authors demonstrate its specific dynamics in the MRL/MpJ mouse strain, and discuss the cause of strain differences.
