The heat capacities ofundercooled water and of 10,20,30 and 40% w/w aqueous solutions of polyvinylpyrrolidone have been measured by differential scanning calorimetry in the temperature range 226 —273 K. The droplet emulsion method was employed to prevent inadvertant ice nucleation. The CP(T) values of undercooled water agree well with the most recently reported data.
