JO N 8 72 Hans Berger was born on 21 May 1873 in Neuses near Coburg, Thuringia-Germany, as the only son of a physician. He studied medicine from 1893 to 1897 in Berlin, Jena, Würzburg, Kiel and then again in Jena.
