A hybrid approach for real-time markerless tracking is presented. Robust and accurate tracking is obtained from the coupling of camera and inertial sensor data. Unlike previous approaches, we use sensor information only when the image-based system fails to track the camera. In addition, sensor errors are measured and taken into account at each step of our algorithm.
