in our country around 2.78% of peoples are not able to speak (dumb). Their communications with others are only using the motion of their hands and expressions. We proposed a new technique called artificial speaking mouth for dumb people. It will be very helpful to them for conveying their thoughts to others. Some peoples are easily able to get the information from their motions. The remaining is not able to understand their way of conveying the message. In order to overcome the complexity the…

Hand Gesture Recognition for Dumb People using Indian Sign Language
TLDR
In this research, flex sensor and accelerometer sensors based hand glove is designed to recognize the Indian sign language and every time updating the new words in the database the dumb will speak like a normal person.
HAND GESTURE RECOGNITION SYSTEM FOR DISABLED PEOPLE USING ARDUINO
TLDR
The main aim of this proposed work is to develop a cost effective system which can give voice to voiceless people with the help of Sign language and lower the barrier of disabled persons in communication.
Arduino Based Gestures to Speech Converter Gloves for Deaf and Dumb People
TLDR
A simple embedded system based communicating device for deaf and dumb people, which deaf-mute and a standard person can be able to communicate with each others in an affordable and convenient way.
Hand Gesture Recognition System for Deaf and Dumb
An in-depth literature review has been carried out to look at the present state of data relating to Hand gesture recognition systems that explicitly focused on the vision-based technique for sign
Gesture Based Sensor Device With GPS and GSM Technology for Dumb People
TLDR
A system called gesture based sensor device for dumb people, which makes use of flex sensors and programming of microcontroller is done using MPlab software.
Hand Sign Recognition Based Communication System for Speech Disable People
TLDR
A smart hand sign interpretation system using a smart glove is proposed to reduce the communication gap between speech impaired people and the normal people and has an ability to convert sign language into a voice in a very simple way.
Performance and Detection of Gesture and Motion for Deaf and Dumb Communication
TLDR
A dynamic gesture recognition system which will identify the letters of the English Language and convert them to text and speech and help in making communication between deaf and dumb people and normal people possible.
Gesture Aided Speech for Deaf and Mute
TLDR
An attempt has been made to develop a system which consists of Flex sensors attached with the Data gloves along all fingers which converts hand gestures into an audio output to interpret the expression and reduces the communication gap that exists between mute and ordinary people.
Helping Hand Device for Speech Impaired People
TLDR
A well-organized system to bridge the gap of communication for the speech-impaired person and assist him in a smooth conversation with a normal person by providing an artificial mouth is proposed.
Hand Sign Translation to Audio Message and Text Message: A Device
TLDR

AUTOMATED SPEECH RECOGNITION APPROACH TO CONTINUOUS CUE-SYMBOLS GENERATION
The work described in this paper is with an aim of developing a system to aid deaf-dumb people which translates the voice into sign language. This system translates speech signal to American Sign
Finger Spelling Recognition from RGB-D Information Using Kernel Descriptor
TLDR
This paper proposes a hybrid system approach for finger spelling recognition using RGB-D information from Kinect sensor and has an accuracy rate of 91.26% when RGB and depth information is used, outperforming other state-of-the-art methods.
Finger Detection for Sign Language Recognition
TLDR
An efficient and fast algorithm for identification of the number of fingers opened in a gesture representing an alphabet of the American Sign Language using Boundary Tracing and Finger Tip Detection is introduced.
A Voice-Input Voice-Output Communication Aid for People With Severe Speech Impairment
TLDR
The VIVOCA was evaluated in a field trial by individuals with moderate to severe dysarthria and confirmed that they can make use of the device to produce intelligible speech output from disordered speech input, with mean recognition accuracy of 67% in these circumstances.
A Deconvolutive Neural Network for Speech Classification With Applications to Home Service Robot
TLDR
A new network architecture, which uses neural network constant modulus algorithm (NNCMA) based equalizer followed by a multi-layer preceptron (MLP) classifier, which is applied to speech samples collected by the home service robot WEVER-R2 for speaker classification in a typical home or office environment.
