We argue that the emission of hadrons with transverse momentum up to about 5 GeV/c in central relativistic heavy ion collisions is dominated by recombination, rather than fragmentation of partons. This mechanism provides a natural explanation for the observed constant baryon-to-meson ratio of about one and the apparent lack of a nuclear suppression of the baryon yield in this momentum range. Fragmentation becomes dominant at higher transverse momentum, but the transition point is delayed by the…

A study of medium induced jet modificaiton at the relativistic heavy ion collider via two particle correlations and identified jet spectra

This work has studied the particle composition of jets by determining the ratios p±/π± and K±/π± in Au + Au and d + Au collisions at √sNN = 200 GeV measured by the STAR experiment at RHIC. Jets were

Centrality and Transverse Spherocity dependent study of charged-particle production in Xe-Xe collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$ = 5.44 TeV using PYTHIA8 Angantyr and AMPT models

Transverse Spherocity is an event structure variable which provide an effective way to disentangle the data into hard and soft components of the processes corresponding to events with small and large

Photon Production in High-Energy Heavy-Ion Collisions: Thermal Photons and Radiative Recombination

We present a comprehensive analysis of photon production at RHIC and the LHC, proposing radiative hadronization as an additional photon source in high-energy heavy-ion collisions. For thermal photon,

The Novel Scaling of Tsallis Parameters from the Transverse Momentum Spectra of Charged Particles in Heavy-Ion Collisions

The transverse momentum (pT) spectra of charged particles measured in Au + Au collisions from the beam energy scan (BES) program, Cu + Cu collisions at sNN=62.4, 200 GeV at the RHIC and Pb + Pb, Xe +

Evidence for modification of $b$ quark hadronization in high-multiplicity $pp$ collisions at $\sqrt{s} = 13$ TeV

The production rate of B 0 s mesons relative to B 0 mesons is measured by the LHCb experiment in pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy √ s = 13 TeV over the forward rapidity interval 2 < y < 4 . 5

Recent charm results in the QCD medium from LHCb

The measurement of the production of f0(980) in inelastic pp collisions at √ s = 5.02 TeV is presented. This is the first reported measurement of inclusive f0(980) yield at LHC energies. The
