HPV 1 DNA in lesions of focal epithelial hyperplasia Heck

Abstract

Previously, we reported o f clinical and electron-microscopical investigations in a case o f focal epithelial hyperplasia Heck. The patient was a 30-year-old, male Turk, who had numerous small papules in the oral mucosa persisting since childhood. He said that his mother had had similar lesions. The papules were located in the mucosa o f the cheek and of the lower lip. Most o f them were aggregated like cobblestones. In agreement with earlier results [2, 5] we were able to isolate typical papil lomavirusqike particles in the lesions [3].
