Tzu Chi Taiwan Marrow Donor Registry (TCTMDR) was established in 1993 to recruit and HLA-type volunteers who would be willing to donate bone marrow. TCTMDR is currently the largest marrow registry for Chinese in the world, with over 150,000 prospective donors registered as of July 1997.
