The objective of the proposed work is to design a multilevel inverter for solar energy applications so as to reduce the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) and to improve the power quality. To obtain the accurate THD values inclusion of higher order harmonics is essential. A concept of Dual Phase Analysis (DPA) is introduced in this paper.
