We calculate gyrotropic excitation modes of the skyrmion ground state in ultrathin cylindrical magnetic dots. The skyrmion is assumed to be stabilized at room temperature and zero external magnetic field due to an interplay of the isotropic and Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya exchange interactions, perpendicular magnetic anisotropy, and magnetostatic interaction. The gyrotropic frequencies of the Bloch- and Néel-type magnetic skyrmions are calculated in the gigahertz range as a function of the skyrmion…

Collective magnetic skyrmion gyrotropic modes in a dot chain

We investigate the collective gyrotropic modes in a linear chain of ferromagnetic nanodots in a skyrmion magnetization state. Individual skyrmions in the dots (with thickness about of 1 nm and radius

The skyrmion oscillation frequency and steady orbit radius in ultrathin ferromagnetic layer of circular nanopillar are calculated in response to a spin‐polarized current. The analytical model of the

Skyrmion Dynamics in Concentric and Eccentric Nano-Ring Structures

Skyrmions are found to be promising for next-generation energy-efficient spintronic applications. Moreover, ultrafast skyrmion dynamics in gigahertz-band offer an excellent opportunity to exploit

Dynamics of Magnetic Skyrmions in Nanodots

Bloch and Neel magnetic skyrmions have been studied in systems of confined geometry (nanodots, a linear array of nanodots). The spectra of low- and high-frequency excitation modes of a skyrmion state

Magnetic excitations of skyrmions in antiferromagnetic-exchange coupled disks

Magnetic skyrmions are topologically protected spin textures. They can exist in bilayer synthetic antiferromagnets and have some exotic behaviors in terms of dynamics. In this work, we theoretically

Collective spin excitations of helices and magnetic skyrmions: review and perspectives of magnonics in non-centrosymmetric magnets

Magnetic materials hosting correlated electrons play an important role for information technology and signal processing. The currently used ferro-, ferri- and antiferromagnetic materials provide

The Nature of Nanotechnology

“Gene Chip” is used as an example that is still object of research in basic nanoscience, but at the same time is already of interest in the nanoengineering step and has partially even reached the technology status.

Peer review, at its best, should aim to provide authors and editors with rigorous and constructive feedback resulting in an improved study, and there is clearly room for improvement, the current system is not broken.
