Occasionally, patients require restorative treatment during or after orthodontic therapy. Patients with worn or abraded teeth, peg-shaped lateral incisors, fractured teeth, multiple edentulous spaces, or other restorative needs may require tooth positioning that is slightly different from a nonrestored, nonabraded, completely dentulous adolescent.
