Growth patterns of the 1982 year-class, individual growth patterns, age at sexual maturity and longevity in the river-sculpin, Cottus hangiongensis (Cottidae), were investigated along the course of the Daitobetsu River of southern Hokkaido, Japan. Slow growth occurred in males from the lower reaches, while more rapid growth was found in males from upstream areas.
