Our previous study demonstrated that green tea polyphenols (GTP) benefit bone health in middle-aged female rats without (sham, SH) and with ovariectomy (OVX), because of GTP's antioxidant capacity. The current study further evaluates whether GTP can restore bone micro-structure in both gonad-intact and gonadal-hormone-deficient middle-aged female rats.
