Abstract : Benthic invertebrate assemblages at five intertidal and seven subtidal sites in Grays Harbor, Washington, were assayed with special emphasis on benthic macroinfauna. Quantitative samples were taken seasonally at all sites, and often at several elevations within sites. Invertebrate assemblages were recorded for each season, and Shannon-Wiener diversity values were calculated. Intertidal diversity values generally increased with decreasing elevation.
