Einstein gravity coupled to a massive skew symmetric field Fμνλ leads to an acceleration law that modifies the Newtonian law of attraction between particles. We use a framework of non-perturbative renormalization group equations as well as observational input to characterize special renormalization group trajectories to allow for the running of the effective gravitational coupling G and the coupling of the skew field to matter. Strong renormalization effects occur at large and small momentum…

Galaxy cluster masses without non-baryonic dark matter

We apply the modified acceleration law obtained from Einstein gravity coupled to a massive skew symmetric field, Fμνλ, to the problem of explaining X-ray galaxy cluster masses without exotic dark

Galaxy Rotation Curves without Nonbaryonic Dark Matter

We apply the modified acceleration law obtained from Einstein gravity coupled to a massive skew-symmetric field Fμνλ to the problem of explaining galaxy rotation curves without exotic dark matter.

Fitting dwarf galaxy rotation curves with conformal gravity

We continue our study of the application of the conformal gravity theory to galactic rotation curves. Previously we had studied a varied 111 spiral galaxy sample consisting of high surface brightness

Dark Coincidences: Small-Scale Solutions with Refracted Gravity and MOND

General relativity and its Newtonian weak field limit are not sufficient to explain the observed phenomenology in the Universe, from the formation of large-scale structures to the dynamics of

Galactic Rotation Curves in Conformal Scalar-Tensor Gravity

We show quantitatively that an exact solution of conformal scalar-tensor gravity can explain very well the galactic rotation curves for a sample of 104 galaxies without the need for dark matter or

Entropy signature of the running cosmological constant

The renormalization group (RG) improved cosmologies based upon a RG trajectory of quantum Einstein gravity (QEG) with realistic parameter values are investigated using a system of cosmological

Macroscopic Theory of Dark Sector

A simple Lagrangian with squared covariant divergence of a vector field as a kinetic term turned out to be an adequate tool for macroscopic description of the dark sector. The zero-mass field acts as

Cosmological Observations in a Modified Theory of Gravity (MOG)

Our Modified Gravity Theory (MOG) is a gravitational theory without exotic dark matter, based on an action principle. MOG has been used successfully tomodel astrophysical phenomena, such as galaxy

Quantum gravity at astrophysical distances?

Assuming that quantum Einstein gravity (QEG) is the correct theory of gravity on all length scales, we use analytical results from nonperturbative renormalization group (RG) equations as well as

Extended rotation curves of spiral galaxies: dark haloes and modified dynamics

Strict criteria are applied to the sample of spiral galaxies with measured rotation curves in order to select those objects for which the observed rotation curve is an accurate tracer of the radial

Dark matter distribution in dwarf spheroidal galaxies

We study the distribution of dark matter in dwarf spheroidal galaxies by modelling the moments of their line-of-sight velocity distributions. We discuss different dark matter density profiles, both
