Gonococcal perihepatitis: diagnostic and therapeutic value of laparoscopy.


Two patients with pelvic and right hypochondrial pain and with purulent vaginal exudate in which Neisseria gonorrhoeae was isolated, are presented. Laparoscopy was used in both cases. A diagnosis of perihepatitis was made by demonstrating the typical adhesions in "violin string" shape and by obtaining clinical improvement after breaking up those adhesions… (More)
