This article deals once again with the famous problem of plurality of divine qualities within Jewish monotheism. The present outlook is wide, including different eras of Jewish thought (Philo, Talmud and Kabbala) beside non-Jewish sources. The article opens with a long passage from Plutarch (for the first time translated from the Greek), where he discusses the necessity of different divine sources to account for good and evil phenomena.
