  • SummaryDehydratation of tissues by organic solvents can be avoided if the material is embedded in glycol methacrylate (GMA). A simple technique for embedding arthropods (tick larvae and nymphs) or their organs (e. g. salivary glands) is described. Under the conditions of this procedure dehydratation, infiltration, and completion of the embedding medium take place simultaneously.
