This study was done to evaluate the effect of insulin on sugar transport into skeletal muscle after exercise. The permeability of rat epitrochlearis muscle to 3-O-methylglucose (3-MG) was measured after exposure to a range of insulin concentrations 30, 60, and 180 min after a bout of exercise.
