Abstract

Glucose exerted a concentration-dependent negative regulation on the biosynthesis of cephamycin C by Streptomyces lactamdurans. Formation of the cephamycin precursor delta(alpha-aminoadipyl)-cysteinyl-valine was greatly decreased by excess glucose.
