Abstract The three glucocorticoid-binding proteins present in rat liver cytosol, A, B, and G, can be separated upon chromatography on Sephadex gels or DEAE-cellulose. All three proteins are thermolabile, but the A and B proteins resist heating for 10 min at 40°, whereas the G protein is inactivated by this treatment. The binding of glucocorticoids to the G protein is inhibited by sulfhydryl-blocking reagents, whereas the binding to the A and B proteins does not require free sulfhydryl groups… CONTINUE READING
