UNLABELLED Aims/Introduction:  Oral ingestion of carbohydrate triggers secretion of glucagon-like peptide (GLP)-1, which inhibits the postprandial rise in blood glucose levels. However, the mechanism of carbohydrate-induced GLP-1 secretion from enteroendocrine L cells remains unclear.
